Personal Branding | Andrea AP Body Transformations

I’m excited to share with you Andrea’s branding for her business AP Body Transformations based in Rosebery, Sydney. I met Andrea via a post in a Facebook business group where she was looking for someone to bring her brand to life online. After a quick phone call, a lot of laughs and stories later, Andrea booked her branding shoot and off we went.

Planning the shoot was a breeze. We clicked right away, were on the same page and Andrea put her faith and trust in me completely (something I am always so grateful for as I makes everything flow a lot easier too :))

As Andrea works and trains our of her home gym, it was fitting to do the shoot there. We also ventured to a local nearby park (Turruwul Park, Rosebery) to change up the scenery and add variety into the photos.

We worked to Andreas core values - holistic health, community, a relaxed and healthy approach to both training + nutrition - and incorporated each element into the session. While we focused on a lot on technical photos for her new website, we also did some lifestyle, food and relaxed portraits.

We actually ended up having a second shoot a few weeks later specifically for her online training course that was about to be launched.

Who are you and what is your age?

I am Andrea Panteli. 39yrs young

What would you like the world to know about you?

I was 4yrs old when my mum suffered a stroke & left her paralysed. I have had no choice but to grow up quickly & stand on my own 2 feet. I've been taught to work hard, was raised to be independent & to keep fighting any battle faced. I am who I am today because of all that I have been through in life;  mum being sick, own health issues (touch wood, I feel fantastic now), juggling being a parent ( & everything that comes with that title) & busy business owner.

What do you do for a living/career/passion?

I am mum to 2 gorgeous  & very active boys who do my head in . I run my personal training/fitness home studio &  proudly co-own   Barzaari, an exquisite Eastern  Mediterranean Restaurant. I Iive a very chaotic life. As chaotic as it is, I feel alive but tired at the same time.

I love to travel.  When I was young (which I still am) I wanted to be a flight attendant.

What is something that you are passionate about?

My passion is to always help others. I love to help bring out the best in people.

I try to always see the positives in any situation.

My true passion is to help someone become the best version of themselves. I love working with people. Taking them on a journey and seeing the progress. Best part is seeing my client happy. This makes my soul shine.

What do you think are the best and worst parts about aging?

Best part is learning from all my mistakes. Growing as a person. Constantly learning.

Worst part is having less patience for BULLSH!T

How do you look after yourself and do you have a self-care go-to?

It's very important to make time for myself so I schedule time for ME. I train daily. Whether it be cardio/weights/a light walk. I find that exercise settles my brain. I don't view it as torture, but see it as my time to become stronger & healthier so I can live the healthiest life possible. I love to book in a remedial massage monthly as my self care treat. As much as they hurt, it's the best feeling ever.

What is your most treasured memory and why?

to be honest i can't remember much of my childhood. I think my brain has blocked it from mum being sick. So I can't even tell you much about school days as I don't even remember much. However, my treasured memories now are everytime I go see my mum at the nursing home. When she remembers who I am, it's the best day, when she doesn't know who I am it kills me. But ultimately, my time with my mum is so treasured. I read to her and she sits & listens. It's the little things in life that warm my heart.

Do you have any regrets in life?

Not travelling more when I was younger. Out of my hands though as I grew up in a strict Cypriot/Greek household.

If you could spend a day with someone you admire, who would that be and why?

This one is a bit of a time capsule/warp scenario.

It's me now, but rewind time back to before my mum got sick. So I'de love to hang out and chat with my mum pre-stroke, so she would have been in her early 30s, but me at this age. I’de love this so much as she is an inspiration. My hero. She is such a fighter in life and I gain strength from her, so I want to know & see her before she got sick.

What do you think are the key elements to feeling fulfilled and happy in life?

I think key elements in life are to not over analyse things. I try to not overthink anymore. This caused me so much stress. I now just deal with things as they arise. I try my best to not to create scenarios in my head that are non-existent. I think the shift in mindset has really helped me find inner peace which has help me find happiness.

The one very key element I live by is always being grateful for what I have. This grounds me & makes me appreciate everything.

What advice about life would you tell your younger self if you had the chance?

Stop sweating over the small stuff. Learn to control your emotions. When feeling overwhelmed, just take a step back & breathe. There are certain things in life that are not in your control. And when it's not in your control, then sometimes you just have to shrug your shoulders & say IT IS WHAT IT IS & move on.
